STEP 4…

This is a question that we get a lot… How to set up flatware in a dinner table?

The answer:

The dinner fork (large one) goes to the left of the plates and the salad fork (small one) to the left of the dinner fork. The knife goes to the right of the plates and the dinner spoon (large one) to the right of the knife. The dessert spoon (small one) goes on the upper corner of the plates.

STEP 7…

Flowers make everything prettier. Add a large vase to the middle of the table or a few small ones if you want to go with multiples. Just remember to keep the overall height of the flowers to a height that won’t obstruct the view between your guests.

Light it up! candlesticks are always a good idea when setting up a dinner table. Add at least two for every 4 guests. The more the merrier. Just keep them as far away as possible from flowers and always use non-drip candles. This way the candle holders and linens won’t get damaged with the dripping wax.
