There are two things that we are truly obsessed about; Our kids, and pretty table settings. So, what better way to celebrate the baptism of one of them than to have a table filled with our favorite people and marble and gold decorations? baptism ideas
Christening decor
Last month we celebrated a very important day for the A Table to Love family, the Baptism of Maria Gabriela’s beautiful baby daughter – Clara. In this post we will share with you some christening decor ideas and how the reception looked that day.
The Tablescape…
It was a combination of 3 of our table setting collections.
We love marble and gold baptism decorations. For this reason, we used the marble charger and salad plates from the Kay Collection. To offset the pattern, we used the white dinner plate from the Cori Collection.
We used our Lia white and gold flatware and our gray cloth napkins also from the Kay Collection which we tied in a soft knot.
The clear and gold glassware was from the Lele Collection.
The tables and cross-back wooden chairs were from Rumbas Event Rentals, it is always a pleasure working with them.
Since Maria Gabriela was already on the baptism decorating ideas train she didn’t want to stop at the adult’s tables. So, she wanted to make the kids table decoration the center of the celebration. We set a kid-sized table in the center of the room holding large gold and white helium-filled balloons. We have to admit that she cheated a little bit and used disposable plates and cups, but it was only OK because they were the cute Bunny cups from Meri Meri, and well, they were for the kids. On her list of ideas for the baptism, it was to keep the children entertained. so, she put together a super cute and personalized activity box for each kid.
The Flowers…marble and gold baptism decorations
To complete the tablescape design, we used our Camila and Jenny flower vases. The three of us agree on the belief that Maria Gabriela was a florist in her previous life, so it was a given that she would do the flower arrangements herself. She used white and blush dendrobium orchids and the result was beautiful.
The food…
A delicious lasagna and spinach ravioli from Di Piu Trattoria with a side of homemade Greek salad was served.
To complement the marble and gold decoration, Maria Gabriela added a touch of rose gold and blush décor to the dessert table. This delicious station was filled with mini pavlovas, mini chocolate marquesa, coconut macaroons, alfajores, fruit pannacota and the most delicious orange and dulce de leche cake from Marta Fadel.
The favors…
Maria Gabriela found a beautiful religious illustration that she placed inside of the gorgeous Umbra geometric gold frames.
The result was perfect. It was an absolute pleasure to put together all the marble and gold decoration ideas for this baptism. It was chic and sweet, exactly as Maria Gabriela had envisioned.
